This home in Punta Gorda, Fla., was built to replace a home that was destroyed by Hurricane Charley. New Panel Homes are lab-tested to resist hurricane-strength winds.

Why New Panel Homes?

New Panel Homes was founded by Brian C. Bishop, one of the nation’s leading panelized builders. Bishop was the founder of Home Front Inc., which built hundreds of panelized homes throughout Florida before a new ownership group purchased the company in 2006.

New Panel Homes employs the latest version of the Bishop System, which has been continually refined through years of experience designing and building panelized structures. The wall panels consist of thick polystyrene insulation sandwiched between two sheets of James Hardie™ cement board. Ceiling panels consist of thicker insulation sandwiched between sheets of water-resistant oriented strand board.

The wall panels and roof panels are joined together using a new high-tech connection system that is faster and less expensive than any building system to date. Bishop has applied for a new patent to cover this unique new panelized construction system.

New Panel Homes utilizes green-certified building products. All buildings are energy modeled before construction to predict their energy use, ensuring that they consume as little energy as possible.
